Crown Act Did not pass

Updated: Jan 1, 2023

Federal Bill did not pass the U.S. Senate in mid-December 2022.

Aww, man. We have collectively hoped and advocated hard to outlaw

race discrimination based on natural hair texture and protective styles

in the U.S., Disappointed but not giving up hope. We have support from eighteen states as of August 2022. We've got more work to do. Let's go!

You can read about my hair-coming-of-age story, Hair Chronicles, in Snapshots Volume 7. My childhood to adult family bonding experience

of passing down hair traditions generationally. Join my hair observations

and assaults. I lived (don't touch my hair), exploring the differences in what society dictates with hair standards.

We all need to fight for the right to wear our natural hair leading to a call to action so consider joining us in signing the C.R.O.W.N. ACT (Create a Respectful and Open Workplace for Natural Hair); it was first signed in our state, CA, on July 3, 2019. #crownact #naturalhair #hairdiscrimination #signcrownact #texturedhair #ourhair #ourvoice #keepadvocating
